James 4:15:
“Instead, you ought to say, ‘If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.’”James 4:8:
“Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
TL;DR: Lent is a time to draw closer to Jesus. Whether through fasting, prayer, or intentional worship, what will you do to seek Him more this season?
Today is Ash Wednesday—the first day of Lent.
For many Christians, Lent is a season of reflection, sacrifice, and deeper intimacy with Jesus. It’s a time to be intentional about drawing near to God and removing distractions that keep us from Him.
One of my favorite Christian radio stations, Prayz Network, shared a powerful testimony. A listener decided to only listen to Christian music in her car for the 40 days of Lent. By Easter, she had developed a stronger, more encouraging walk with the Lord.
What will you do for Lent?
For me, I want to focus more on remembering that Jesus is always with me—not just during my morning devotion but throughout my day.
➡️ I want to pray first and react second.
➡️ I want to be still and trust Him in my daily decisions.
➡️ I want to lean on His strength and presence in every moment.
I read my Bible most days, yet I still catch myself forgetting to call on God’s strength, wisdom, and love throughout the day.
This Lent season, will you join me in actively seeking God first?
How will you observe Lent this year? Let’s stand strong together, one day at a time, from now until Easter—and hopefully beyond!
Have a blessed, happy, and reflective Lent!
