Psalm 89:26:
“He will call out to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Savior.'”Proverbs 24:16:
“For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.”
TL;DR: Struggling with sin? Don’t give up. God is with you, guiding you through every fall and every step forward. Keep calling on Him, keep trusting, and keep trying.
This weekend, I ran into an old friend who was struggling with a sin she couldn’t seem to shake.
She had a repentant heart, but she was still stuck in the cycle of sin and afraid of the consequences.
The comfort I could give her was simple but powerful:
✔️ Yes, there will likely be consequences.
✔️ That’s because God loves you enough to discipline you.
✔️ He is shaping you to be more like Christ.
But here’s what’s even more important:
-
God will never leave you.
-
His love for you is unconditional.
-
He will see you through this.
Call upon Him. Trust Him. And keep trying.
Some sins take time to let go of, but God is here now, helping you through it.
I know this personally.
-
I spent 29 years trying to quit drinking.
-
I struggled with bulimia for years.
I’m so glad I kept trying.
We are all sinful human beings—but God’s grace is bigger than our failures.
-
Keep seeking Him.
-
Keep turning away from sin.
-
Keep trusting that He is working in you.
No matter what—keep trying.
“He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
