Philippians 4:6-7
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
TL;DR:
You are in the process of becoming a butterfly. When you let go of personal expectations and choose to trust God, His peace will guard your heart and mind. Rejoice in the good, trust Him with the rest, and allow your transformation to unfold.
Before my mom passed, she spoke of the tremendous peace she had. That peace didn’t come from having everything perfect—it came from trusting God fully in the present moment.
I’ve discovered that peace comes when I surrender. When I stop clinging to my personal expectations and start trusting that God’s plan is good, even if it looks different than mine.
There are things in life I’d definitely like to tweak… but there’s also so much I am over-the-top grateful for! And when I choose to rejoice in the good instead of fixating on what I wish was different, I feel peace. Real peace. The kind only God can give.
“Just when the caterpillar thought life was over, he became a butterfly.”
What a beautiful image of transformation. 🦋
That’s us—we’re in the process of becoming butterflies.
It might not feel like it. Life might look more like a cocoon right now—dark, tight, uncertain. But God is working. He’s shaping you. He’s strengthening you. And in His time, you’ll emerge with wings stronger and more beautiful than you ever imagined.
So today, don’t be anxious. Trust Him.
Rejoice in what is good.
And let the peace of God guard your heart and mind.
You’re becoming a butterfly.
