Ephesians 2:22
“And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.”
TL;DR:
You are God’s dwelling place. His Holy Spirit lives within you. The more we feed on His Word, the more His goodness shines through us—outshining the darkness and drawing us closer to His likeness.
This morning, I’ve been soaking in Ephesians 2, and what a deeply fulfilling chapter it is! As I reflect on God’s love and mercy, I’m in awe that He chooses to live inside of us through His Holy Spirit.
Sometimes, I see the shadows in my heart and thoughts. But even in those moments, His Spirit is stronger. I long for His goodness to grow in me, to shine through me more and more—less of me, more of Him.
“And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:22)
To have a pure heart and a clear mind, I know I must feed on His Word. I don’t need to devour chapters—even one verse can change my whole day. When I don’t fully understand what I’m reading, I simply pray:
“Lord, fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I may understand what I am reading and what You are saying.”
And this one too:
“Lord, let the meditation of my heart and the words of my mouth be pleasing to You, O Lord, my Rock and Redeemer.”
He answers. Every time.
So today, remember: His Spirit lives in you. Let that truth radiate through every word, every action, every thought. You are a living, breathing temple of His love.
