Romans 10:9–13
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth you confess and are saved.
11 As scripture says, anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.
12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him,
13 for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'”

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies;'”
TL;DR:
As friends and loved ones near the end of life, it’s never too late to share the life-giving message of the Gospel. Jesus offers eternal life, and everyone who calls on His name will be saved.
Today, I’m reading in Romans chapter 10, and it reminds me of one of the most important truths we have as believers—the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Death isn’t the end. We live, even though we die, when we believe in Jesus.
I remember my grandma once telling me,
“Kimberly, it’s not easy having your friends die around you.”
That’s stayed with me. And as I grow older, I understand it more.
Now, I pray for the courage to share the Gospel—to tell my friends that salvation is available to anyone who calls on Jesus’ name. It can feel awkward or intimidating, especially during sensitive times, but what’s more loving than sharing eternal hope?
Eternal life through Jesus Christ is not just about where we go after death—it’s also about the joy and peace we can experience in our lives now. One of the most beautiful blessings in my life is knowing not only that I’ll go to Heaven, but that I am already loved, forgiven, and held by Jesus today.
If you have a friend nearing the end of life, I encourage you—try your best to share the Gospel. It may be the most meaningful gift you can offer.
