Genesis 18:13–14
“Then the Lord said to Abraham, ‘Why did Sarah laugh and say, “Will I really have a child, now that I am old?” Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son.’”
TL;DR:
What seems impossible to us is always possible with God. Just like Sarah laughed in doubt, we sometimes doubt too—but God can transform even the most hopeless situations.
Nothing is too hard for God.
When Sarah laughed at the thought of having a child in her old age, it seemed absurd, impossible. But God reminded her—and us—that His power has no limits.
I think of my own 29-year battle with alcoholism. For years, I believed the lie: “I can’t quit. It’s impossible.” I was trapped in shame, guilt, and brokenness. But then—God stepped in. Through Jesus, I discovered I was deeply loved, forgiven, and washed clean from the stain of sin.
I wasn’t just a struggling addict anymore. I was a redeemed child of God, free and restored. What I once thought was impossible became possible because of His power, mercy, and grace.
Friend, maybe you’re facing something today that feels too big, too heavy, or too broken to be fixed. Remember this truth: Nothing is too hard for the Lord.
