God’s Got This: Trusting His Plan When Life Doesn’t Go Ours

Ephesians 1:11
“In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works everything in conformity with the purpose of His will.”

TL;DR:

When life doesn’t go as planned, trust that God’s got this. He is working everything out for His glory and your good—even when the path is painful or unexpected.

I’m writing this from the hospital as I recover from surgery. They’re keeping me here for at least 48 hours while I receive strong IV antibiotics. Once the cultures come back, they’ll adjust the medication and—hopefully—send me home on oral antibiotics.

Honestly, this isn’t how I pictured spending the last 80-degree day of the season. But it’s not about my plan—it’s about God’s plan.

He’s already working this injury and infection into something greater than I can see right now. I know He will use it for His glory and my good.

To be healthy and well—physically, mentally, and spiritually—I have to trust that what is, is what’s supposed to be. Of course, I’d rather be training for Chatta Jack, water skiing, biking, or chasing my grandbabies around. But I’ve learned that I don’t always get what I want. Instead, God always gives me what I need.

He’s teaching me patience, dependence, and deep trust.

If you’re in a season that feels frustrating or slow, I hope this encourages you today: God’s got this. He’s not surprised by your situation. He’s not distant. He’s right there, weaving it all together in perfect love.

So, breathe deep. Be calm. Wait patiently as His plan unfolds. He’s got you, and He’s got this. ❤️
