Humble?

Ephesians 4:2
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”

TL;DR:

Humility means trusting God’s plan more than your own—and letting go of the need to control what only He can handle.

What does it mean to be humble?
To be modest, gentle, and unpretentious.
A humble person isn’t proud or self-important—they don’t consider themselves better than anyone else.

So… am I humble?

If I’m honest, not always.
I can be prideful. I can think my way is best—or even that I know better than God.

I do this every time I refuse to accept what I can’t change.
When I try to control people, circumstances, or outcomes that belong in God’s hands, I’m telling Him, “I don’t trust You to handle this.”

That’s pride.

Humility doesn’t mean doing nothing—it means knowing when to release what’s beyond your reach. It means praying instead of pushing, trusting instead of controlling.

Today, I’m praying to be humble, gentle, patient, and loving—to accept the things I cannot change, to courageously change the things I can, and to have the wisdom to know the difference.

God’s way is always better than mine.
