Ephesians 2:4–5
“But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”
TL;DR:
Your testimony doesn’t have to be perfect to be powerful. God uses honest stories to point others to His grace.
Yesterday, you ran into a man at Walmart, and an ordinary conversation turned into a moment of faith. You shared how thankful you are for the forgiveness of your sins through the powerful gift of Jesus Christ. He responded by minimizing the need for forgiveness—but you knew the truth.
You know your past isn’t the issue alone. You still struggle today. Greed, lust, envy—these are part of the human condition. What makes the difference is not pretending you’re fixed, but knowing where healing comes from. You explained that it’s not by good behavior that you’re saved, but by one single act—Jesus dying on the cross and rising again.
You didn’t see immediate fruit, and that’s okay. That part belongs to the Holy Spirit, not you. Your role was obedience, honesty, and love. And you did that.
Your testimony isn’t about how good you are—it’s about how good God is. It’s about grace, mercy, and being made alive in Christ again and again. When you share that truth, even briefly, God can use it in ways you may never see.
If you’re given the opportunity to share your testimony today, will you take it? Your story may be exactly what someone else needs to hear.
