1 Peter 5:7
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
tl;dr
Life is not always fair or easy, but God is always faithful. Trusting Him in the hard brings peace that worry and fear can never provide.
Things not “feel” fair?
Do you think you have been given an extra dose of hard?
Have you been trying your best and still something painful happened?
Life can be difficult. Sometimes circumstances make no sense. Sometimes prayers seem unanswered. Sometimes the very thing that was feared happens anyway.
The truth is, we cannot fully understand God and His ways. We cannot understand everything He allows and everything He does not allow.
What we can do is TRUST Him.
We may not understand all things, but we can be thankful in all things.
I have found that when I choose thankfulness and trust, even in the middle of hardship, I am no longer enslaved by worry and fear. Instead, I am freed to believe and walk in His peace.
That does not mean all things are good.
Some things are heartbreaking.
Some things are painful.
Some things are simply hard.
But God promises that He can work all things together for good. Not that all things are good, but that He can use all things for good.
Looking back over my life, I realize the hardest seasons often drew me closer to God than the easy ones. During those difficult times, I learned to depend on Him in ways I never would have otherwise.
The hard places can become holy places when they teach us to trust.
Be teachable today in the hard.
Cast your anxiety on Him.
Trust Him when you understand.
Trust Him when you do not.
The only way I know to stay healthy and well is to TRUST God in all things.
