Where You Lead, Lord, Help Me Follow: Learning to Trust God’s Plan

Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.”

TL;DR: When we place our confidence in God instead of ourselves, we open the door to His perfect plan. Pride tells us we know better, but trusting God’s lead is always the better path. Where He leads, we can follow with peace.

Where is your confidence right now?

It is such a simple question, but it cuts right to the heart of how we live our daily lives. So much of our stress and struggle comes from trying to take control instead of trusting God. We plan, we push, we worry, and somewhere in all of that, we start to act like we know more than He does.

Here is the truth: if God means it to be, it will be. If it is not meant to be, it will not be. That is not a passive way to live. That is faith-filled surrender, and it is one of the most courageous things you can do.

We are all full of pride at times. It is part of being human. But pride is exactly what gets in the way of following God’s direction for your life. When we loosen our grip on the outcome and place our confidence in Him, something shifts. The weight lifts. The path becomes clearer.

Today, be inspired to trust Jesus and follow His lead. Not tomorrow, not when things feel more certain, but today. Take one step in the direction He is pointing, even if you cannot see the whole road.

Where you lead, Lord, I will follow. Where you lead, Lord, I will go.
