John 14:25 “All this I have spoken while with you. 26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
TL;DR: The Holy Spirit lives in you and is ready to guide you through every moment of your day. You have a real choice: walk in God’s peace or give in to anxiety and fear. Which will you choose today?
There is a choice in front of you right now. You can walk in the Holy Spirit’s peace, or you can harden your heart and let anxiety take over. That choice is available to you moment by moment, every single day.
The promise in John 14 is not a small one. Jesus is telling His followers that the Holy Spirit as Counselor and guide will be sent to them — to teach them, to remind them of His words, and to leave them with a peace that the world simply cannot offer. That same promise belongs to you.
When overcoming anxiety with faith feels easier said than done, it helps to remember that the Holy Spirit is not a distant resource you have to search for. He is already living in you, already working, already guiding. The question is whether you are listening.
Choosing God’s peace over fear is not about ignoring hard circumstances or pretending everything is fine. It is about turning your attention back to the One who is with you in the middle of those circumstances. It is a moment-by-moment decision to trust His presence over your worry.
So today, which will you choose? Walking in spiritual peace daily starts with a simple, honest willingness to let the Holy Spirit lead. He is right there. He has not gone anywhere.
