Daniel 11:28 “The king of the North will return to his own country with great wealth, but his heart will be set against the holy covenant.”
TL;DR: It is easy to forget that our blessings come from God and not from ourselves. When we lose sight of that truth, pride creeps in. True prosperity goes far beyond finances, and staying humble before God means being a grateful, faithful steward of everything He has provided.
I have been guilty of forgetting that all of my prosperity comes from God. Every talent, every open door, every good thing in my life traces back to Him. The moment I forget that, pride moves right in, and there is nothing pleasant about being around a prideful person.
Today, if God has blessed you beyond measure, resist the urge to say “look at me.” Instead, try shifting that thought to, “Look at all God has blessed me with. How can I be the best steward of these blessings?” That one small shift in perspective changes everything.
It is also worth remembering that true prosperity is so much more than financial wealth. It shows up in your health, your relationships, your peace of mind, your faith, and even in the quiet moments you might otherwise overlook.
Be inspired today to practice gratitude for God’s provision, not just for the things He has given you, but also for the things He has withheld in His infinite wisdom. Both are forms of His grace, and both deserve a thankful heart.
