Jeremiah 17:7-8 “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of draught and never fails to bear fruit.” 17:14 “Heal me Lord and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.”
TL;DR: No matter what you are facing today, God can be trusted completely. He is your ever-present source of strength, healing, and hope, and when your confidence is rooted in Him, you will not be shaken.
These verses are such a powerful reminder of what it means to place your trust in God completely. Not halfway, not just when things are going well, but in all things, at all times.
The image in Jeremiah 17 is beautiful. A tree planted by the water, roots reaching deep into the stream, staying green and fruitful even through drought and heat. That is what happens when your confidence is in the Lord. Life will throw hard seasons your way, but when you are rooted in Him, you do not have to fear what comes.
Here is a perspective shift worth holding onto: don’t tell God you have a big problem. Tell your problem you have a big God. That simple reframe can change everything about how you walk through a difficult moment.
And then there is verse 14. “Heal me Lord and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved.” What a declaration of faith in God’s healing power. Not a wish, not a maybe. A confident, wholehearted cry to the One who is fully able.
He’s got this. Whatever you are carrying right now, He is your ever-present help in times of trouble, your strength when yours runs out, and your hope when things feel hopeless. Trusting God for peace and healing is not passive. It is one of the most active, courageous things you can do for your overall wellbeing, body, mind, and spirit.
To be truly well today, trust Him in it all. Jesus is your source of strength and hope, and He can absolutely be trusted.
