Always Something to Be Thankful For — Finding Joy Even When Life Feels Empty

Habakkuk 3:17–19
“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines… yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer…”

Colossians 3:17
“And whatever you do… do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

TL;DR:
Even when life feels empty or uncertain, you always have reason to give thanks—because God is constant, faithful, and your strength.

Habakkuk paints a picture of total loss—no crops, no livestock, no visible signs of blessing. Yet he chooses joy. He chooses praise. He chooses thanksgiving.

Why?
Because real gratitude doesn’t come from what you have—it comes from knowing Who holds you.

You may face circumstances that feel barren or disappointing.
You may have prayers still unanswered or situations that remain unresolved.
But God hasn’t changed.
His love hasn’t changed.
His goodness hasn’t changed.

And that means you always, always have something to be thankful for:

— His presence
— His salvation
— His strength
— His faithfulness
— His daily mercy
— His unchanging love

When you lift your eyes from your circumstance to your Savior, gratitude becomes not just possible—inevitable.

So today, let your heart rejoice.
Let your spirit give thanks.
Let your praise rise, because God is good—and His love endures forever.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁🦃❤️😇
May joy fill your heart, peace steady your steps, and gratitude overflow.
