Philippians 3:13-14
“Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
TL;DR:
You can’t change the past, but you can live fully in the present through Christ who gives you strength. Stop rehearsing old conversations and regrets; instead, press on toward God’s calling today and embrace every moment He’s given you.
Life happens now—not five minutes ago, and not fifty years ago. Replaying past mistakes only robs you of today’s opportunities. Just as Philippians 3:13-14 urges us to forget what is behind and press on toward what is ahead, you are called to:
-
Release Yesterday’s Regrets.
No matter how vivid the memory, it’s over. Give your burdens to Jesus and let go of the past. -
Embrace the Present Moment.
Consciously choose to be fully present. Notice your breath, the people around you, God’s daily blessings. -
Press On in Christ’s Strength.
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13). Lean into His power for every challenge and task. -
Act on Today’s Call.
What step can you take right now toward God’s purpose for you? A prayer, a kind word, or a small goal—all add up when you live in the present.
When you stop circling regrets and start straining toward what is ahead, you’ll find fresh hope, renewed focus, and the joy of walking in God’s plan minute by minute.
