John 15:16-17
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.”Esther 4:14
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”
TL;DR:
You are exactly where God wants you to be for such a time as this. Even if life doesn’t look how you hoped, He has appointed you to love others and bear lasting fruit right where you are.
Bear fruit—fruit that will last!
In our summer sermon series, we’ve been studying the book of Esther. What a powerful reminder that God positions His people with purpose. Esther 4:14 has always been one of my favorites: “And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”
Today, I’m reflecting on how each of us is exactly where we are supposed to be—right now—for such a time as this.
Maybe life hasn’t gone the way you thought it would. Maybe you’re not where you hoped you’d be. But you are where God has placed you. And His call is the same: trust Him, love others, and bear fruit that lasts.
So today, let’s give our best to where we are. Let’s seize this moment, not wishing it away, but leaning into it with faith. God chose you, He appointed you, and He will use you—for such a time as this.
