Isaiah 40:27-29
“Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel, ‘My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God’? Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
tl;dr
God sees every battle and never grows weary. When strength runs out, He is ready to provide the strength needed to keep going.
God knows what is being faced, and He gives strength for the fight.
What a comforting promise.
We all face different battles at different times in our lives. Some are physical. Some are emotional. Some are spiritual. Many of my greatest battles take place in my own mind.
Sometimes I defeat myself before I even get started.
Negative thinking, fear, doubt, and discouragement can become obstacles long before the actual battle begins.
Isaiah reminds us that none of our struggles are hidden from God. He sees every tear, every fear, every disappointment, and every challenge. Nothing escapes His notice.
Even more encouraging is this: He never grows tired or weary.
People grow weary. Friends may not always understand. Even our own strength can fail. But God never tires of helping His children.
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
That is exactly what is needed when life feels overwhelming.
Today, instead of trying to fight every battle alone, call on Jesus. Ask Him for wisdom when decisions seem confusing. Ask Him for courage when fear wants to take over. Ask Him for strength when you feel like giving up.
He understands every struggle.
He is with you always.
He is your strength and your song.
Call on Jesus today, and let Him help you in the fight.
