Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Loss often feels like the end, but with God, it’s the beginning of something new. Trust Him through the changes—He’s doing a new thing in your life, even when you can’t see it yet.
Over the past few years, I’ve experienced deep loss and incredible gain.
I’ve lost my mom, my dad, and my dog—three relationships that filled my heart in such special ways. Yet, in those years of grieving, God has also given me three beautiful daughters-in-law and five amazing grandchildren.
Right now, I’ve lost my ability to walk without crutches, but I’ve gained the ability to slow down, rest, and truly be present in my conversations.
When I quit drinking, I finally started living.
Through every loss, change, and challenge, one truth has remained constant—God is doing a new thing.
When we lose someone or something we love, it’s hard to understand why. But God is always at work, creating beauty from ashes and purpose from pain. He never wastes a loss.
He calls us to trust Him completely, even when the path doesn’t make sense.
To lean not on our own understanding, but to acknowledge Him in everything—our grief, our growth, our transitions, and our triumphs.
And when we do, He promises to make our paths straight.
Today, be encouraged to embrace His new thing.
Even in the middle of uncertainty, He’s already at work, guiding you into something more beautiful than you can imagine.
