Grow Where You Are Planted: Reaching Others Right Where You Are

Galatians 2:6-7
“As for those who seemed to be important—whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearances—those men added nothing to my message. On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, just as Peter had been to the Jews.”

TL;DR: God has uniquely equipped you to reach specific people. You don’t need to be somewhere else or someone else to make an impact—shine for Christ right where you are.

Paul wasn’t called to be Peter. And Peter wasn’t called to be Paul.

Each had a specific audience, a unique calling, and a personal mission field. Paul was entrusted with the Gospel for the Gentiles, while Peter was sent to the Jews.

That same principle applies to us.
You don’t need a platform, a pulpit, or a massive following to make a difference.

You just need to be faithful where you are.

  • In your workplace
  • In your family
  • In your friend group
  • In your community
  • Even in your struggles

God has placed you exactly where you are for a reason.

You are uniquely equipped to reach the people around you—people who may never walk into a church, but who will see Jesus in your love, your kindness, your honesty, and your faith.

Today, ask yourself:

  • Who are the people God has placed around me?
  • How can I represent Christ to them in a real and meaningful way?

Don’t wait for the perfect opportunity or title.
Plant, water, and grow where you’ve been placed.

God will bring the increase.
