What an incredible promise.
Life can be hard. There are seasons of grief, disappointment, illness, loneliness, uncertainty, and pain. Sometimes the struggles seem overwhelming and never-ending. In those moments, it can be difficult to see beyond what is right in front of us.
Yet Paul reminds us to lift our eyes higher.
The suffering experienced today is not the end of the story. There is a future glory awaiting all who belong to Christ, and it is so magnificent that today’s hardships cannot even be compared to it.
That does not mean present struggles are not real. They are. It simply means they are temporary.
Hope is not wishful thinking. Hope is confidence that God is faithful to His promises. Hope is trusting that He is working even when His hand cannot be seen. Hope is knowing that every trial, every tear, and every hardship is being used for a greater purpose.
Whatever is being faced today, know this:
There is hope in Christ Jesus.
Hold on. Keep trusting. Keep looking up. God is not finished yet.
His glory is coming.
