How to Let Go of Sin and Move Forward in Jesus

Mark 8:33:
“But when Jesus turned and looked at His disciples, He rebuked Peter. ‘Get behind me, Satan!’ He said. ‘You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of man.'”

James 4:7-8:
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and He will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

TL;DR: Struggling with sin? Let go of guilt, resist temptation, and move forward in Jesus. No matter how many times you fall, God’s grace is there to lift you up!

Have you ever thought you were riding the mountaintop of faith, only to realize you were actually taking a fall?

That’s pride—and God has a way of keeping us humble.

Most often, it’s through the painful reality of our own sin.

But here’s the truth:

✔️ True repentance isn’t just sorrow or guilt.
✔️ True repentance is turning from sin and pressing toward Jesus.
✔️ We are not defined by our sin—we are defined by the righteousness of Christ!

We are new creations in Jesus.

“The old is gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

But let’s be honest—we all stumble.
We fall into sin, sometimes the very sins we thought we conquered.
We face the consequences of our actions.
We feel the weight of our failures.

And yet—God never leaves us.

He picks us back up. He calls us forward.

✔️ If you’re on the mountaintop—stay humble and keep your eyes on Jesus.
✔️ If you’re in the valley—remember, you are His treasured possession.

Sin is a snare, but Jesus is our Savior.

Keep turning from the world and keep turning to Him.

It’s a sanctification process—one step at a time—leading us toward true spiritual health and freedom in Christ.
