2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
2 Corinthians 5:21: “God has made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.”
TL;DR: Through Christ, we are made new. Our old sins no longer define us because we inherit His righteousness. Reject the temptation to live in falsehood, and embrace the transformative power of truth and salvation.
The powerful gift of Jesus is nothing short of extraordinary. When we accept Him, the old is gone, and the new is here! Through His sacrifice, our sins are removed, and we are clothed in His righteousness.
This truth is both liberating and humbling. No longer are we defined by the sum of our mistakes. Instead, we are defined by Jesus’s perfect right standing before God.
For me, accepting this reality has been a lifelong journey. I know the depravity of my own heart—the countless times I’ve placed my personal desires above my relationship with God. And yet, His love remains steadfast. He has offered me the perfect gift of salvation, inviting me to walk in His Spirit of truth day by day.
Letting go of lies and embracing truth isn’t always easy. When faced with the temptation to tell a “white lie” or withhold sincerity, it can feel simpler to give in. But truth and righteousness are not just concepts—they are our new identity in Christ.
In those moments of temptation, remember: We are not our sin; we are His righteousness. The more we embrace this truth, the more we reflect His love and light to the world.
Today, be inspired to let go of the lies that hold you back and step boldly into His truth. It might not always feel easy, but the blessings of walking in truth and sincerity far outweigh the fleeting comfort of falsehood. Let’s honor the powerful gift of Jesus by living in His truth and righteousness.
May His truth guide your steps today and always.
