Overflowing No Matter What: Living in the Abundance of Christ

Colossians 1:10-14:
“And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

TL;DR: We are called to overflow with God’s love and good works, no matter our circumstances. If you’re feeling burdened, shake off the past and walk in your true identity in Christ: forgiven, strengthened, and full of His abundance!

God has given us everything we need to do His good works! But we don’t serve Him out of obligation—we do good works out of the overflow of His love in our hearts.

If you’re not “feeling it” today, maybe you’re carrying the weight of personal struggles. Life’s burdens can wear us down, making it hard to pour into others. But be encouraged and renewed!

You are not the sum of your wrongs.

You are the righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Five minutes ago is just as over as 50 years ago.

Shake it off and try again! God’s mercies are new every morning.

When I focus on who I am in Christ—redeemed, strengthened, joyful, and full of love—I find it easier to keep moving forward.

Live today overflowing with His love and goodness. No matter what you face, walk in the abundance of Jesus!
