Proverbs 21:31
“The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.”
TL;DR:
Prepare faithfully, but remember—results belong to God. True victory comes from Him alone.
The horse is made ready.
Preparation matters. Discipline matters. Training matters. You are not called to be passive. You are called to show up, work hard, pray deeply, and be ready for whatever lies ahead.
But preparation is not the same as control.
You can study.
You can plan.
You can rehearse.
You can strategize.
Yet victory does not ultimately rest in your effort. It rests with the Lord.
That truth removes both pride and panic.
If you succeed, you give Him glory.
If you struggle, you still trust His sovereignty.
You are responsible for obedience and preparation. God is responsible for outcomes.
So go into today ready. Do your part with excellence and integrity. Then release the results into His hands.
Victory—real, lasting, eternal victory—comes through the powerful gift of Jesus.
Be ready.
Be faithful.
Be at peace.
The battle may be yours to face, but the victory belongs to the Lord.
