Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
TL;DR:
When life doesn’t go as planned, remember—God still has a plan. His purpose is greater than your disappointment.
Sometimes life looks nothing like what you imagined.
Plans unravel. Doors close. Hard seasons linger longer than expected. And you wonder, “What is happening?”
Then this truth steadies your heart:
God has plans for you.
Not random plans.
Not careless plans.
Not harmful plans.
Plans to prosper you.
Plans to give you hope.
Plans to secure your future.
Prosper doesn’t always mean comfort.
Hope doesn’t always mean immediate relief.
Future doesn’t always mean your preferred timeline.
But it always means purpose.
When you remember that God is intentional with your life, courage rises. Determination returns. You find strength to press on—not because circumstances are easy, but because His promises are sure.
I often remind myself: “Keep looking up to keep your chin up.”
Perspective changes everything.
If you fix your eyes on the problem, discouragement grows. If you fix your eyes on God, endurance grows.
Today, press forward. Trust that even this chapter—especially this chapter—is being woven into something good.
The Lord has plans for you.
Keep looking up.
