Proverbs 28:13 “He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
TL;DR: Concealing our struggles keeps us stuck, but honest confession and a truly repentant heart open the door to mercy, forgiveness, and lasting health and wellness. You don’t need to share everything publicly — you just need at least one safe, trusted person, and always, Jesus.
Confess and renounce our sins versus concealing them. In AA, we say our secrets keep us sick. I know this full well.
I’m not suggesting you lay it all out there on social media. What I am suggesting is that you have a few good friends or a pastor you can be genuinely honest with. That kind of safe, trusted accountability is a powerful part of the healing process.
And we each have Jesus with us always. If He is the only one you have, He is enough. Be honest with Him. Have a truly repentant heart and move forward in forgiveness and fortitude. This is a continual process — and it is the foundation of true health and wellness.
Faith-centered healing is not a one-time event. It is an ongoing journey of honesty, spiritual and emotional wellness, and leaning into the mercy that is already available to you. That mercy is real, and it is waiting.
