2 Corinthians 10:5
“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”Proverbs 23:7
“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”
TL;DR:
Your thoughts shape your life. What you feed your mind will either produce peace or poison. Take every thought captive to Christ, believe His truth, and live well through Him.
Our thoughts are powerful. They don’t just pass through our minds—they shape who we are and how we live. “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7).
The problem is, we all have toxic thoughts. And much of what enters our minds comes from what we’re feeding ourselves. If we’re constantly watching the news, anger and injustice fill our hearts. If we’re listening to toxic music, those messages echo in our minds. Garbage in, garbage out.
But the good news is this: in Christ, we have the ability to take every thought captive. We don’t have to let negativity or lies rule us. Instead, we can line our thinking up with God’s truth.
Genesis 15:6 reminds us: “Abram believed the Lord, and He credited it to him as righteousness.” Belief changes everything. When we walk in faith, our thoughts shift. We stop identifying with the old self and begin to live as the new creation Jesus made us to be—free, redeemed, and righteous in Him.
When we feed ourselves God’s Word, pray continually, and choose belief over doubt, we begin to think well, live well, and be well.
So today, be mindful of what you let into your heart and mind. Guard your thoughts. Take them captive to Christ. Believe—and live free.
