Matthew 18:35
“This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart.”
TL;DR:
Forgiveness is not weakness. When you forgive from your heart, you free yourself and allow healing to begin.
Is there someone you need to forgive?
Not just with your words. Not just by saying, “It’s fine.” But truly—from your heart.
Jesus makes it clear that forgiveness is not optional. It is not a suggestion. It is a condition of living in the fullness of grace you have received. You have been forgiven much. Therefore, you forgive much.
Unforgiveness feels justified. It can even feel protective. But in reality, it binds you to the pain. It replays the wound. It keeps the offense alive inside you.
True forgiveness releases the debt.
It does not say what happened was acceptable. It does not pretend the hurt wasn’t real. It simply hands the justice over to God. It says, “I will not carry this anymore.”
When you forgive from your heart, something shifts. Bitterness loosens. Peace enters. Healing begins.
Forgiveness is freedom.
Today, choose to let it go. Choose healing over holding on. Forgive—and allow your heart to be restored.
