Galatians 1:11–12
“I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something man made up. I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.”
TL;DR:
You’re called to live in the revelation Jesus gave you—your new identity, your freedom, your redemption—not in the old patterns that once held you.
Paul received the gospel by revelation directly from Jesus Christ.
That same word—revelation—should stir something inside you, because you too have received revelation:
You are a new creation.
You are redeemed.
You are deeply loved.
You belong to Him.
Yet you may still drift back into old habits, old fears, or old sins that once defined you. It’s easy to slip into patterns that feel familiar instead of walking boldly in who Jesus revealed you to be.
James 4:7–8 reminds you:
Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and God will draw near to you.
That means you can shake off every temptation, every lie, and every identity that is less than who you are in Christ.
You haven’t lost your value. You aren’t less loved. You aren’t “too far gone.”
You are just as precious to God today as you were the moment you first believed.
Put on your revelation again.
Walk in the newness He gave you.
Stand in the identity He revealed.
You are redeemed—live like it today.
