What It Means to Live in the Power of the Resurrection

1 Corinthians 15:42-44
“So it will be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.”

TL;DR: Because of Jesus’ resurrection, we are no longer bound by the limits of our earthly nature. We’ve been raised with Him into a life of power, glory, and purpose. Live today as someone fully alive in Christ.

I hope you had a meaningful and joy-filled Resurrection Sunday celebrating the life and victory of our Savior.

1 Corinthians 15 reminds us that the resurrection isn’t just a future hope—it transforms our present reality.

  • What was perishable is now imperishable
  • What was dishonorable is raised in glory
  • What was weak becomes powerful
  • What was natural is now spiritual

This isn’t symbolic—it’s real. The resurrection of Jesus changes everything about how we live now.

1 Corinthians 15:47 says,
“The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven.”

Jesus gives us more than a second chance—He gives us new life. When we live in that truth, we stop striving for identity and value in the temporary things of this world and start walking in the power and freedom of the eternal.

This weekend I heard a quote that stuck with me:
“Why are you looking for the living among the dead?”

That’s the question the angel asked at the empty tomb. It’s a question for us too. Are we looking for purpose, life, and hope in things that can’t give it?

Jesus is risen. And if we are in Him, we are risen too.

So today, live like someone who has been raised with Christ.
Not in fear or regret.
Not in shame or limitation.
But in strength, in purpose, and in resurrection power.
