Joel 2:12 “Even now”, declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” 13. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity.”
TL;DR: It is easy to drift toward worldly pleasures without even realizing it. This post is a gentle reminder to pause, repent, return to God, and make sure your daily goals are aligned with His Word.
Repent and return. Two simple words that carry so much weight.
Have you been seeking your own will instead of God’s will? It is something worth sitting with honestly, because choosing worldly pleasures over a Word-centered life is something that comes naturally and easily — at least it does for me.
The pull of worldly distractions is real and constant. And if we are not intentional, our days can fill up fast with things that have nothing to do with what God is calling us toward.
So here is a simple but powerful question to bring into your morning: What are your goals for today? And do they align with the Word of God?
That is not meant to add pressure — it is meant to be a faith-based reset. A moment to check in, recalibrate, and return to God wholeheartedly just as Joel 2 calls us to do. Not halfway. Not when it is convenient. With all your heart.
He is compassionate. He is slow to anger. He is abounding in love. That is who you are returning to when you choose to seek God first in your daily life.
Be inspired today to make that choice.
