Your Passion, His Glory: Live Today for the One Who Died for You

2 Corinthians 5:14–15
“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.”

TL;DR: Whatever your passion—whether it’s cycling, cooking, working, or serving—let it reflect the love of Christ. We are no longer living for ourselves, but for the One who died and rose again. Let your life point to Him.

Who are you living for today?

It’s a simple question, but it’s one that resets everything for me.
When I think about my daily plans—whether it’s going for a walk, connecting with a friend, or just enjoying the outdoors—I have to ask myself:
Am I doing this for me, or am I doing this for the glory of God?

In 2 Corinthians 5:14, Paul says it’s Christ’s love that compels us.
That word—compels—speaks of a force that drives us forward, not out of duty, but because of love.
Because Jesus died for us, we now live for Him.

That means our passions—those things we love to do—don’t have to be set aside. In fact, they can be used for His glory.

Colossians 3:17 says,
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

Whether you’re:

  • Working in an office

  • Riding your bike

  • Cooking a meal

  • Talking with your neighbor

  • Walking in the sunshine

You can do it for Jesus.

So today, I’m reminding myself that even my simplest joys—time with loved ones, a good bike ride, quiet reflection—can be acts of worship when done with a heart turned toward Him.

Let your life—your words, your passions, your plans—reflect the love of the One who gave everything for you.
Your passion can point to His glory.
